High Sky Wing Awards Banquet Saturday, January 26

Please make plans to join us at the annual High Sky Wing Awards Banquet, at which time Colonel of the Year and Spirit of the Eagle awards will be presented.  The Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, January 26th in O’Brien Hall at the CAF Commemorative Center.  Social hour will begin at 5:30 with a catered dinner at 6:30.  Dinner will be catered by the BarnDoor.  Cost of the event is $20 per person and can be paid in advance or at the door.  Please RSVP (required) to Keegan Chetwynd no later than noon on Jan.18th at kchetwynd@aahm.org or 832-444-2051.  Make checks payable to HSW.  Dress is casual.  Consider bringing a guest/prospective new member with you to the banquet.  Parking will be available in front of the Commemorative Center.  Enter the Museum parking lot, turn right and drive through the open black iron gate located next to the CAF Headquarters Building.  You will enjoy a slide presentation, silent auction and great camaraderie with fellow Wing members.  We hope to see everyone there!

Safety Training and Orientation

Attention All New Cadets & High Sky Wing Colonels:

Every first Saturday of the month at 10:00 am in the Commemorative Center Hangar, a safety training and orientation will be conducted for all new Cadets and Colonels.  All new Cadets and Colonels have to go to all safety training prior to members working on, or flying in, High Sky Wing aircraft.  These is the required training every new Cadet and Colonel needs to know:  Fire Extinguisher on aircraft and ground equipment, be well versed in all aircraft ground operations, including start-up, taxi, shutdown and flight line safety, proper use of personal protective equipment and clothing, and proper use of tools.

Safety is not a thing to do, Safety is a way of doing things!

Required Safety Training and Orientation for new Cadets and Colonels

Don’t forget that tomorrow, Jan 5th, will be our first safety training and orientation for new Cadets and Colonels this year.  Safety Officer Paul Cooper (safety@52.15.223.162 )  will conduct the training, which is required prior to members working on, or flying in, wing aircraft.

This training will be held on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Commemorative Center Hangar.
